Chicago Fire World Cup
#6241
How does a club bring all of Chicago together in one big soccer watch party?
The Chicago Fire are hosting a massive watch-party experience for all Chicago soccer fans at Recess, home to Chicago’s largest patio. Recess will become the ultimate physical destination for Chicago soccer fans this summer. And today, the Chicago Fire FC app transforms into the ultimate digital destination, with its new Soccer Celebration digital takeover.
Three Chicago Fire players are playing for their countries.
Chris Brady. Goalkeeper, United States. 🇺🇸
Joel Waterman. Defender, Canada. 🇨🇦
Mbekezeli Mbokazi. Defender, South Africa. 🇿🇦
The Recess hub in the Fire app celebrates all three players, with dedicated content for each player and the nation they represent.
📣 The Chicago Fire are the first club to launch our brand-new World Cup Match Cards, features that we built specifically for this tournament. The Cards feature the matches of players and the nations they represent.
The pre-promotional Soccer Celebration app hub is now live, before June 11. Fans can head to Recess to watch every match, look up the match schedule, get Know Before You Go information with device-specific directions (Apple Maps for iOS and Google Maps for Android). On June 11, the complete Soccer Celebration hub goes live and runs through July 19.
One quick tap on the floating Home button takes you straight back into the regular Fire app, just in case you’re interested in browsing the Fire schedule, stats, and more. You choose your experience, in just one tap.
Kudos: Emily Simanskis, Jacqueline Oiga, Andrew Grahovec, and Dan Moriarty, thank you so much for continuing to do these digital takeovers and new feature activations with us. The Soccer Celebration app hub included many firsts, and we’re proud to have worked with you so closely on it. I appreciate the energy, the enthusiasm, and the ideas that you’re always pushing for.
