The British Grand Prix takes place this weekend. But at Silverstone, the real race has been going on for years: the race to become the most sustainable circuit in the world. 2,764 solar panels. 3 onsite beehives. Over 80 tonnes of food donated in three years. A 10,344 mยฒ wildflower meadow.
And the Silverstone app delivers what racing fans need to enjoy this massive multi-day event across a sprawling and iconic venue. The full track timetable, maps, transport, food and drink, the lot.
This year, we launched two new features in the app.

A weekend at Silverstone covers a lot of groundโOn Track, Off Track, the M&S Mainstage, CARGO, the Silverstone Museum, the Skydeck, the T1 Enclosure. Fans can now filter each day's schedule by where events are happening around the site. This means that fans can curate and personalise their event schedule by location. A first in our platform.
๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ฉ. Fun fact: A bee flying at 20 mph would take 11 minutes to complete the lap around the Silverstone course. Even more fun fact: A fan can do an Impact Lap in 7 stops through the app. This activation is a unique mobile scavenger hunt across the circuit, tied to Silverstone's Shift to Zero sustainability work. Seven stops, each telling a sustainability story, and each one to be completed to unlock the next. Fans can use the Silverstone app to scan the QR code at each stop, drop straight into the app, learn, and be fascinated. Some stops hide survey cards, where a random fan who answers correctly wins a prize. Finish the whole lap, and you're in the draw for an overnight stay.
And the app is not for the British Grand Prix weekend alone. This app is for all things Silverstone: concerts from David Guetta to James Arthur, A Night at the Darts, world-class karting.
