The Milwaukee Bucks just launched Bucks Drops, their first-ever in-app drop, turning a giveaway into a live event with a chatroom.
Here was the first Drop: an autographed Bucks jersey and tickets to the 2026-27 Home Opener, with a countdown clock ticking toward zero.
๐ฆ The Drop lives in the app, with Upcoming Drops listed by date and time so fans know exactly when to show up.
๐ฆ A live chat runs alongside the countdown: fans waiting together in the app, talking, hyping it up. "Always Bucks in 6." "Love the Bucks."
๐ฆ When the clock hits 00:00, the winner is announced on screen. One fan sees "You Won This Drop!" The jersey, the tickets, are all theirs.
๐ฆ Everyone else? "Sorry, Not This Time." The "This Time" tells you that there's a reason to hope and to come back for the next Drop.
This isn't a bland old-fashioned form you fill and forget. This is a moment, a live event, where the Bucks community gathers in the app for exclusive giveaways.
This is not just a countdown, not just a giveaway.
This is a communal digital gathering.
With prizes to win. And great reasons to return.
Fear the Deer.
๐ ๐ช๐ด๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฒ. Matthew Ship, Alyssa Novak, Kaleb Weston, thank you so much for your collaboration and for your willingness to experiment and trial new features. You're constantly suggesting new ways to elevate the fan experience (our iOS widgets are because of you, and because you brought them up first), and you've turned Bucks Drops into a communal chat/giveaway in your app. Keep bringing those ideas. We'll keep building and shipping them.
