Sporting KC takes on FC Dallas at home tomorrow.
And, so, the Sporting Kansas City app breaks out its Halloween costumes.
Yes, I said costumes. Plural.
Two digital takeovers. Trick takeover. Treat takeover.

Spooky or Playful.
Choose Spooky, and the entire app turns into the Witching Hour: dark, moody photography, smoke, cauldrons, red and blue light. Players staring into the depths of bubbling cauldrons. Choose Playful, and the entire app turns into "Boo! Scare Ya?:" light blue skies, candy corn, ghosts, bats, pumpkin buckets, a little waving skeleton. Players grinning at carved pumpkins.
This is why I love it. Both fans are real. One type of fan is bringing their kids, and they want the fun dress-up of Halloween without the dread. The other type of fan lives for the scary, ghoulish thrills of Halloween. So, the club lets you, the fan, choose your adventure. And, you're not locked in. Change your mind at halftime? Switch from Playful to Spooky, and back. This is our first-ever, Halloween-costume-changes-with-one-tap activation.
Underneath the costume, everything's still right where you need it for tomorrow's match: Kick-or-Treat, the costume contest, the trick-or-treating bag giveaway at Sporting Park, the Victory Project Gameday Honoree, Sporting Pay, Mobile Order, Pick a Player predictions, the news, photos, and videos.
Whatever you're looking for, find it in whichever Halloween look you chose.
Trick ๐๐๐ Treat.
Happy Halloween.
You're welcome.
๐๐๐ค Bexi Castillo, Caroline Roche, Samantha Garcรญa, Haley Brantingham, this is such a brilliant idea. I love the fact that fans get to choose their own adventure. Thank you for entrusting us with these digital takeovers, and above all, thank you for your enthusiasm, collaboration, and innovation on so many digital activations. What a joy to work with you!
