Wolverhampton Wanderers just went live with a completely redesigned app homepage for the 150th anniversary of the club's founding.
Open the app, and the Wolves 150th logo lockup animates to life before you even get to the homepage. The app's titlebar carries it, too: at the top of every page, the anniversary logo accompanies you on every screen.
๐บ Start with the marquee hero image, and Latest News right below.
๐บ Scroll down to the Videos section, tap Watch More, and a modal flies out from the bottom to drop you straight into Wolves TV. Goals, Goals, Goals. Classic Box Sets. Highlights. Training Videos.
๐บ The Wolves Shop, with our new Retail Cards featuring the official 2026/27 home kit with the Wolverhampton city coat-of-arms returning to the shirt for the first time in more than 30 years.
๐บ Keep scrolling to Podcasts, with a modal sliding up from the bottom of the homepage into the full playlist. This is what it looks like when your favourite podcast player meets your club.
๐บ Wrap up with Wolves trending content from Instagram, in a carousel. Or, better still, tap into an infinite-scroll social feed, if thatโs your thing.
๐บ And, what makes me happy? The choose-your-own-app-icon, with the option to change your Wolves app icon to the 150th anniversary logo. What a goosebumpy way to forever remember this year on your phone.
This isnโt just a visual app refresh.
It's a landmark club moment rendered in exquisite digital detail.
150 years in, but just getting started.
๐ ๐ช๐ด๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฒ. Leon Rastall, Hannah Moule, Martin Axford, thank you for collaborating with us on marking club history through the app, with an entire design. We absolutely love how you've restructured the app layout for this moment, and how you use modals for more detailed content, for Wolves TV and a podcast playlist. I love the intentional and thoughtful use of the Wolves 150th anniversary logo in multiple places, in a way that supporters can not only remember the moment, but can also be a part of it and carry it with them. As for me, I've already changed the app icon on my phone to the Wolves 150th anniversary one (you knew I would).
๐ฌ ๐ข๐ฑ๐ค๐ฃ๐จ๐ณ๐ฒ. Cristian Alfaro, Richard Pepper, Festus Asante for the build. Ana Baskinger for the ๐๐ฉ๐ช๐ฑ ๐๐ข๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ด graphic.
